Local Government Excellence Recognized

The Pennsylvania Legislature designates one week year year as “Local Government Week” to honor the dedication of Pennsylvania’s local officials and to encourage citizens to learn the functions of local government functions and how local governments ​affect each resident and business in their community.  In addition, the Governor’s Awards for Local Government Excellence are presented on Local Government Day.  More information regarding these Awards and how to submit nominations is available on the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) webpage​.

On April 10, 2019, on behalf of Governor Tom Wolf, DCED Secretary Dennis Davin, recognized municipalities and local government officials for their “incredible service to their communities”.  Warriors Mark Township Supervisor L.
